In partnership with the BC Forest Safety Council, SHARP will be delivering its bi-annual Safety Conference scheduled for September 24, 25, 2009 in Prince George. The theme for this year’s conference is “SHARPen Your Safety Knowledge – Understanding the Human Factor.” Because of the economic crisis in the forest industry, the importance to attract a large group of attendees to deliver an effective conference, and because the topics in the conference are relevant to all industries; the SHARP Trustees have opened up the conference to Non-Sharp participants. Non-Sharp members can attend the conference for $150 per person. As well, to help SHARP participating employers with the costs of employees traveling from outside of Prince George to attend the conference, SHARP has made arrangements to reimburse SHARP employers for the cost of employee hotel accommodations for one night, subject to certain restrictions.
